V-DAY EXPERIENCE Part 1

Kday and I decided against a Valentine gift exchange this year, instead we chose to share an "experience" together. We most likely wouldn't have remembered what we gifted to each other within a matter of a few months anyways, and we really wanted to do something memorable.

So we joined 2 other couples for a weekend of All Terrain skiing and an overnight stay at theSteam Mill Yurt, located in Logan Canyon. We spent 3.5 hours skinning up the canyon and reached our destination seconds before nightfall was upon us. (The group actually only spent about 2.5 hrs - but I was struggling and was much slower)
(Anna - Me - Jamie * the 3 hotties of the trip!)

The Yurt was great, the food was D-lish, and the company was the best part. We had a blast talking into the late hours of the night and roasting our buns off next to the wood burning stove. We'll definitely have a few good "inside jokes" to carry around in our back pockets for awhile.
(Lane and I were super stoked to make it to the Party Yurt)

The next day was some more hiking and skiing the fresh powder. (I took it easy for fear that if I hiked/skied too late into the day that I wouldn't make the hike out of the canyon) We took all safety precautions with beacons, probes, and radios and stayed away from the few small natural avalanche slides we came across.
(The Crew - skinning up the canyon)

We had a great time and I'll carry the memory much longer than I would have carried a cheesy box of chocolates and a wilted flower. Thanks Kday for the V-day "experience"
(Mr. and Mrs. Kday.... in love)

That sounds incredible!!!!! What an awesome way to celebrate the holiday. That is definitely something to remember. What was it like in a yurt? I have never been in one before I don't think but it sounds super cool.

That sounds amazing and I agree with you would much rather have a fun memory and experience together! We're not adventurous but enjoyed a great weekend in St. George and shopping together for a few fun new cycling accessories.
