AND NOW FOR THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR.....
The Mr Kday and I have been chosen by another beautiful, amazing, selfless woman to adopt a little boy. He's still a bun in the oven and cooking thoroughly until his due date of August 28.This experience so far has been exponentially different from our adoption of Layla. Both miracles, both brilliant blessings. I'm already nesting and we feel like we're busting at the seams in our little home. So along with the expedited paperwork process of getting approved for the adoption, (almost as much work as being audited by the IRS!) we're toying with the idea of moving. We are all aware that three months is a long time for things to change, so for now we're enjoying the journey, building a beautiful relationship with our little son's birth mother, and praying for this miracle to continue. I'm quite freaked by the idea of a boy. But Buca is already walking around the house talking to her "baby brudda."
And without further ado, I'd like to introduce....

Congratulations, Shannon!! That is sooo exciting! Good luck with the preparations and the rest of the pregnancy! (I am grateful for your post on "adoption etiquette" too, because I've said those things at one time or another, and I'd not known that they were not the proper way to say them.)

So excited for you!!! We also have news that I'll tell you since we haven't really made it to any bike races this year-- we're having another baby girl in Oct. That will make girls 4, boys 3 and makes Rich a little nervous since he's more comfortable with being a boy family. Hope to see you soon. Congrats.
