Lest you think I'm the perfect mother...
Today while doing last minute shopping for my list of things to do for tonight's "Enrichment Night" that I procrastinated - Layla ate popcorn and bug juice for lunch in the shopping cart.
The third time through Barney's Day at the Farm video I noticed her diaper seeping through her shorts because I had yet to change it this morning.... it was now 3:42 pm.
While setting up for the Relief Society activity that was supposed to be outside and was violated by thunderstorms, thus moving it inside- I hid in my car and cried because I was so overwhelmed by the confrontational conversations going on between the leaders.
Layla left her half eaten apple somewhere in the church and I had no time or desire to attempt to locate it and place it in the trash receptacle.
I'm home now sitting on the couch admiring the clean up job Kday did after feeding Buca and putting her to bed. And it's all I can do to wait long enough to get the tootsie roll wrapper off before shoving it into my mouth.
There is now a pile of paper wrappers scattered across the couch.
I'm glad today is over.
Layla was a gem and I made sure to stop to give her a hug and tell her thank you for being the calm amidst my storm.
I freaking love her guts.

Enrichment night... got to love it! Way to get through another one. I am sure it turned out fabulous!:)
I just want to come give you a hug and have a tootsie roll. The event I was at tonight they kept likening the challenges and experiences to our 'tether.'
Well, nice to know you are human. Gosh, now I won't feel so bad if I am tending and you get home at 12:30 pm and I have only changed Layla once.
