A WHOLE BUNCH OF RANDOM

I just went for a "run."
It was only 3 miles. And I walked A LOT of it.
The first .5 mile SUUUUUUCKED.
Then my body warmed up a little and I actually ran a half a mile without stopping.
This is sadly a big accomplishment for me.
Sadly.
Then I walked a little and then ran .3 miles more.

It's discouraging to see how far I've fallen.
It's also good for me - so as not to fall any further.
And I'm stubborn as hell, so it fuels the fire.

*******

The weather today was glorious.
We went to Station Park and listened to the music, watched the dancing water and played on the astro-turf.
Old music makes my spirit happy.
Stuff like from the 30's and 40's. It really is impossible to be in a bad mood while listening to that.

*******

Man life is so much easier these days.
The boys are both walking - no more carrying two kids or two car seats.
Rider is past the hump of throwing food - well, throwing everything.
And Owen is sleeping, independently in his crib for naps.
MIRACLE on 91st street.
Owen has also somewhat let up on the constant crying and has even found himself wandering off to play without my hip.
And Layla is fire and ice. Sweeter than sweet and pushes my buttons all at the same time.
Life is good.

********

I have up days and down days.
More up than down lately.
Last week I had a really really down day.
Trust me, I cried to this girl about it.
But it's a wonder how pouring your heart out to God while laying in bed soaking your sheets with mascara stains... it just seems to get better after that. God is looking out for us.
He rescues me and reminds me of how glorious my life is, and helps me open my eyes to the greatness of it.

*******

Tomorrow we do our taxes.
Barf.
If there is anything that makes me want to check into a psych ward for a week - it's taxes.
Especially because of the legal issues with Layla's SSN (lack there of)
As well as Rider's adoption claim... which I'm sure will be audited.
Double barf.

Wish me luck.
Someday I'll get SSN's for my children and I'll actually get to claim them on a tax return and therefore get to buy a new car for Kday.
THE END
