SHRINKING LUNGS. 65 LBS DOWN!

I am 8 lbs away from my goal weight that I set 15 months ago. I never thought I would make it. I have tried for so many years to take off the weight that I so embarrassingly put on over the last 6 years. The best part about this weight loss is that I know that it's not just a "fad diet," I am confident that the weight came off the right way and I have regained control of my life again. I feel so good right now and I finally feel like myself again. I was going to show some "before and after" pictures but I am too embarrassed to even post a picture of the before. I'm sure you all can drudge up the scary memory of my old body so here's a more positive one. ( This pic was taken about 6 months ago and I have since lost a lot more weight but I don't have any pictures of my current weight so don't look too closely.)

As for the shrinking lungs. After my volleyball game tonight (my team totally sucks) I felt like going for a run. So I grabbed my trainer (Kashi) and we went for a short lap around the hood. It's been a few months since I've put the miles on my shoes and boy could I tell. My lungs felt like they had shrunk by half the size and I just couldn't take the deep breaths I needed to recover. It's crazy how fast my lung capacity has decreased. However, it still felt soooooo good to get out on the road again and just hear my feet set into motion on the pavement. Kashi was happy and so was I. SDAY RUNNING.
