FO-SHIZZLE BIZZLE

Sup peeps? I'm fo' shizzle busy getting ready for an uber needed adult only vaycay with the kday. Also need to complete some homemade giftaroos for mother's day that is rapidly approaching. So instead of boring you with my alphabetized and  cross referenced packing list (highlighted even) ;).... I'll share this little ditty that perfectly describes my views on motherhood. Compliments of CARDIGAN EMPIRE DOT COM

Your mother's collar may have been soiled with your sorrowed sobs.  Her eyelids may have been wrinkled with dreams of your happiness.  Her lap may have been stretched and softened to cradle your cultivation.  These are a woman's badges of honor, medallions of her motherhood.

Women are born mothers.  Motherhood doesn't ceremonially commence when a woman conceives a child.  She can bear children in her heart long before she ever (if ever) bears them in her womb.

HAVE A HAPPY MOTHERS DAY.

***Monday will bring a delicious post on the actually helpful  advice that people should give when you become a mother.

That is a wonderful quote. I was listening to a piece on NPR radio yesterday and the guest on the show was speaking about how we are not only mothers, like you said, to our own children (if we have them), but we are mothers to kids in the neighborhood and animals that need our care and mothers of every living thing. See you soon. Oh, by the way, just finished a super-dee-duper cute quilt for Ryder.
