MANIAC

I've been a bit of a spazoid lately, really, just ask Kday. It brings back vivid memories of my infertility treatment years. Hormones galore and feeling a little trapped in my own mind and body is the least attractive combination a person (seeking balance) could ask for. Poor Kday and Miss Mary got an ear full and a shirt sleeve of blubbering bawl baby snot nosed tear fest yesterday. But after the kids went to bed at 7:30 I was able to pull myself together and before I knew it... it was 1:45 am and I was sewing like a maniac and crossing things off my TDL (to do list).

We are OFFICIALLY and completely ready for this baby (who has a new nick name that we'll discuss later) to arrive. All the waiting around and expecting this baby for the past three weeks left me feeling like "I don't have time to finish that project" because I thought he'd be here any second. Now that I know he's taking his sweet time arriving, and now that I'm on a hormonal roller coaster... I decided to complete all the lingering finishing touches.

A little re-aranging of the closet space to make room for both baby's needs

#3's Side of the closet

Something tells me we're going to need more space eventually for spare diaper storage

Due to our living circumstances we've been bathing the kids in the kitchen sink. But after a lot of thought I've decided it would be easier on everyone if I could create a way to bathe the kids in our downstairs shower. A simple new baby bath and voila.
I simplified the original bath box and moved it downstairs.

I'm always changing diapers upstairs because it's a total pain to haul everyone downstairs every time there's a messy diaper... So I created an "official" changing station on the main level of the house.
I'm sure it's going to need re-stocking VERY often when #3 arrives.
It houses all three sizes of diapers. Wipes. Change Pad. Powder & Lotion

Here's where the late night sewing comes to fruition.
Finished #3's car seat cover.
I'm trying really hard not to let it bug me that they're not matchy matchy.
The car seats don't match because only 1 certain car seat measured narrow enough to fit in our car.
It mega bugs me.
But I figure non matching car seats = non matching covers.

I still need to hand sew the binding on these softies.
I'm obsessed, these are so fun to make and I couldn't just make one.
This way each of the boys will have a few back up softies.

You are amazing! I can tell you are a seasoned mom to infants, unlike myself who just bungles along figuring things out as I go. I'm so excited for baby #3! You are obviously ready.
