We rang in last year like this....
This year wasn't much different.
Except Layla is twice her size and we have a baby boy to add to the mix. Oh ya, how could I forget... I'm also twice the size as I was last year. We ate, drank, and were merry, and we ate some more. Secret Supper is the traditional way of celebrating a New Year around the Day home. Every member of the family picks an item of food they'd like for dinner - or dessert and we secretly confide in Rita. She is the one and only to know what everyone ordered... and come new years eve, we sit and eat. And eat and eat. Between meals we mingle, play games, party, and try to guess what everyone picked for dinner. It's crazy fun... and kind of just crazy. That's why I love it.

Everyone was too sick of eating by 12:30 am and we just couldn't face the idea of waffles... so it was only in spirit that we indulged in Clay's pic.
